Keeping Secrets Reviews

4.5 Pixies: "Keeping Secrets is a wonderful story that will keep you engrossed until the finish. This book has a little of everything in it. We have two people who fell in love at a young age, made promises and dreamed of a future together and then, in a blink of an eye, they're torn apart by her parents. I was excited to see these two meet up again, to see what kind of sparks would fly or what bad things would happen. This was my favorite part of the entire story.
I really enjoyed watching Frankie and Jake fight for their lives together, also, seeing Frankie and her parents interact. Her father never forgave her for some of the stuff she did as a teenager, and he throws it in her face whenever he can. Now he has to take it like a man and I loved it. Keeping Secrets by Cindy Crane is a must read. I am looking forward to seeing what she writes next." -- Becky Gaede, Dark Angel Reviews

4 Stars: "Keeping Secrets is a delightful love story. My favorite character was Debs. Cindy Crane offers readers a story that is life-like. Fans of romance will enjoy Keeping Secrets by Cindy Crane." -- Review Your Book

4 Books: "This is a story of two people with very different backgrounds. Jake and Frankie belong together, but the shadows and secrets of the past present an almost insurmountable barrier to their happiness. The author, Cindy Crane, is careful not to divulge those secrets until close to the end and kept me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the sights and scenes in Frankie's old neighborhood, as well as the minor characters who were her friends. Ms. Crane takes us on a journey through the rough streets to find the love that Frankie believed she had lost forever. A moving tale of courage and perseverance, and well worth reading." -- The Long and The Short of It - Romance Review

Hannah's Gold Reviews

5 Delightful Divas and a Recommended Read - Dakota at Dark Diva Reviews

Dakota’s Review: This book should come with a warning label! Too Hot To Touch! Honestly, I’m surprised Ms. Crane’s book didn’t melt my computer, let alone my e-reader. While I normally don’t pick up historical, when I saw Hannah’s Gold, I just had to read it. I’m such a sucker for cowboys and ménage a trois books. I have to say Ms. Crane delivered admirably and more than this reviewer was expecting. While this is the first book I’ve read by the delightful Ms. Crane I will be watching for my titles from her.

Now, on to the yummy men in this story. If I’m a sucker for ménage a trois books, I’m even a bigger one for brothers. I don’t know what it is, but having two men who happen to be siblings is just naughty, and I’m all for that! With Luke and Jed you get both the ends of the spectrum. Luke is a pure gentleman outside of the bedroom and Jed is more of rascal, but they perfectly balance each other. Add in to the mix the delightful minx, Hannah, who is much more forward thinking than I would expect for the time period and – whoo-wee – you’ve got the recipe for hot days and nights! Not to mention, Hannah has to possibly be the most adventuresome female character I’ve read in some time. Kudos, Ms. Crane for creating such a delightfully feisty woman for Jed and Luke.

I give Hannah’s Gold Five Delightful Divas and A Recommended Read!

Time is running out for Hannah Turner. As collateral for a debt to Ethan McCabe, she will soon be forced to pay with her body.

Then two strangers, Luke and Jed Daniels, ride into town. For Hannah, the sexy cowboys provide a brief distraction from her imminent fate, and with lust running high, she succumbs to their charms. However, Luke and Jed don't intend to lose Hannah to an evil gunslinger and his gang. They're drawn to her plight, determined to protect her from Ethan and give her a dual taste of love and pleasure for a lifetime.

Just like all great westerns, Hannah’s Gold, has the text book elements: Cowboys, bad guys in black hats & damsels in distress. Hannah’s Gold has the added bonus of not one hot hero in spurs but two brothers that are as passionate about loving their women as they are determined to protect them.

Ms. Crane has created a steamy story that had me completely drawn in from the first moment Luke and Hannah meet. This story had the unique side story of Hannah’s love for another man, Jacob, who in the beginning of the story has left to make his fortune in the California gold fields.

The anticipation of whether or not Jacob would make it back in time to save the ranch and not to mention Hannah from the clutches of the resident tyrant, had me squirming almost as much as the sex…almost!

Ms. Crane offers up a variety of intense sexual interludes. You’ll be reaching for a fan as well as a glass of ice water to cool yourself down. In fact, there is a scene where Jed walks in on Hannah watching Luke bathe that was H-O-T HOT!! When it was over I was ready for a cigarette and I don’t even smoke.

The characters are well developed with intersecting back stories that are revealed within the context of the story. There are surprises and a beautiful HEA that built and flowed straight to the end.

I look forward to reading more by Ms. Crane and gladly award Hannah’s Gold 4.5 Cherries.

Hannah's Gold
This past year, Hannah Turner has been biding her time. When Ethan McCabe, evil cowboy and owner of almost the entire town, wants to collect on her fiancé Jacob's debt by taking his land, home and cattle, Jacob vows to leave his property, strike it rich and return to repay the debt plus interest. Then Hannah steps in and offers to remain on the land for the year Jacob's gone, as collateral... and if Jacob doesn't return with the payment, she'll give herself over to Ethan.

Now the year is up and Hannah hasn't heard from Jacob, so it looks like she'll be forced to give herself to Ethan, who's been known to degrade and abuse women.

When brothers Jed and Luke Daniels arrive in town, they see Ethan and his cronies harassing Hannah on the streets. Eager to jump to her rescue, the men help her escape. She repays the men by offering them a space in her home for sleep, a home cooked meal, and her company. What none expected was to come face to face with overwhelming sexual attraction between all three and soon, the brothers are doing whatever's necessary to make sure Hannah comes out the winner in this battle so they can claim her for their own.

Hannah's Gold is a deliciously complex, thoroughly entertaining historical western ménage love story. It's clear that Jed and Luke have shared women before, as they take to Hannah so easily. But it's also apparent they've never had feelings for another woman the way they do for Hannah and have from the moment they've met. Hannah sure needed a champion. She was getting along granted, but everyone needs help sometime. And it was clear this was her time. Good thing Luke and Jed just happened to mosey into town.

The sensuality between this trio was deliciously arousing. Hannah and Luke seemed to have more of a bond than Hannah and Jed. Rather than it being a relationship between the three, it was more of a bond between Hannah and Luke, with Luke allowing Jed to share in some intimate moments ever so often.

The dread I felt throughout the story, not only for the seeming eventuality of Hannah having to be subjected to Ethan, but also for his treatment of the other 'working girls' in town. While I wanted Jacob to return to help Hannah, I was also biting my nails wondering how this story would play out with the brothers. And as the ending came around and wrapped everything up, I was delightfully surprised and pleased. Ms. Crane, you've created a wonderfully entertaining story.
